Wildlife in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland
Throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, there are countless varieties of Wildlife. From raccoons wandering the neighbourhoods to squirrels scurrying along powerlines. During rush hours, Eagles perch on telephone poles majestically surveying the traffic for roadkill in the hopes of finding an easy evening meal. Local lakes boast of different types of ducks, herons, hawks, eagles, snakes and frogs. As the forests diminish, the animals find no other alternative but to move into suburbia. They wait to be discovered by the observant eye and sensitive ear.
